Getting from Phuket Airport to Krabi
Krabi is a separate province on the Andaman coast east of Phuket. The road route leaves the island over the Sarasin Bridge and follows Highway 4 through Phang Nga, so allow about 2.5–3 hours by private car or van, longer in a shared minivan that picks up and drops other passengers. Public buses from Phuket Bus Terminal 2 are the cheapest but involve changes and are impractical with luggage. Grab and Bolt do not reliably cover this cross-province distance.

Ao Nang is the main beach and hotel hub and the base for island-hopping tours to the Four Islands, Hong Islands and Phi Phi. Railay — famous for its limestone cliffs and rock climbing — has no road access at all and is reached by longtail boat from Ao Nang or Krabi Town.
